Privacy
This page explains what The Cornerstone Academy — Independent Guide does with your data. The short version: the site itself collects nothing about you, and the only cookies come from advertising.
Last updated 25 July 2026.
What this site collects
Nothing, directly. These are static pages. There is no account system, no newsletter, no comment section, no contact form, no analytics script and no first-party tracking. We do not build a profile of you, we do not sell data about you, and there is no visitor database here to lose.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served by Cloudflare. As our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare processes connection-level data — including your IP address — to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. That processing is Cloudflare's own, under its policies; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not receive or analyse per-visitor logs from it.
Advertising
This site carries display advertising served by Google AdSense. That is how it pays for itself, and it is the only commercial relationship involved: no school, academy trust or local authority pays to appear here, to appear favourably, or to keep anything off the site. Ads are chosen automatically by Google. They are not endorsements, we do not vet them, and an ad appearing next to a school's data means nothing whatsoever about that school.
Advertising works by setting cookies. In practice that means:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in the UK and Europe, Your Online Choices.
Google explains how it uses data from sites running its ads at policies.google.com/technologies/ads, and lists the ad-technology providers that may be involved on its ad-technology partners page.
Your consent choices
If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you will see a consent message before personalised ads are served, presented through a Google-certified consent management platform. You can refuse personalised advertising and still read every page here — nothing on this site is gated behind consent. Your choice is stored in your browser and you can change it at any time by clearing this site's cookies.
Links to other sites
We link out to schools' own websites, to Ofsted, to gov.uk and to the Department for Education's data services, because citing sources is the point of these guides. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, under their privacy policy.
If you contact us
If you contact page or email hello@bcpschools.co.uk, we use your email address to reply and for nothing else. It goes on no mailing list and is shared with nobody.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have rights over personal data held about you — access, correction, erasure and objection to processing. Since this site holds no personal data about visitors, there is normally nothing to give you or delete. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
These guides are written for parents and carers choosing a secondary school, and some readers will be children. This is an ordinary informational site: it asks for no personal information, has nothing to sign up to, and requests no age or identity data from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If what we do changes, this page changes with it and the date above is updated. We would rather state a change plainly than let this page quietly go stale.
